Mission

The Girlhood Project seeks to validate and uplift girls’ lived experiences through co-construction and feminist group process.

Vision

Our vision is to support girls in 6th-12th grade with identity development through the application of critical media literacy and positive youth development. The Girlhood Project utilizes intergenerational feminist girls' groups inspired by hip-hop feminist theory to examine, critique, challenge and counter the ways in which girls are represented and treated in society.
